Who is responsible
VODEQ LLC, 6025 Fitchburg Pl, Fort Wayne, IN 46815, United States, operates vodeq.com. Questions: support@vodeq.com. Privacy choices are also available from the footer of the website.
What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use local storage, session storage, pixels, and scripts that set or read identifiers. Some are first-party (set by vodeq.com). Others are set by companies we use, such as Stripe at checkout or Google if you allow analytics or advertising.
Vodeq Desktop and Vodeq plugins do not use the website cookie banner. They send license and, where enabled, telemetry or analytics data to our servers as described in the Privacy Policy. This page is about the website.
How we ask
In the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Brazil, analytics and advertising stay off until you allow them. A banner is shown on the first visit until you accept all, reject optional, or save specific choices.
In other regions, analytics and advertising may run until you opt out. Everyone can open in the footer at any time. You can reject optional cookies and still browse, create an account, check out, and receive receipts.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat that as turning advertising off. GPC does not by itself turn analytics off; you can still reject analytics in Privacy choices.
Your cookie choice is stored in a first-party cookie named vodeq_consent for 180 days (SameSite=Lax; Secure when the site is served over HTTPS).
Necessary
These are required to run the store. They are always on. They include:
- authentication cookies issued by the account system so you can stay signed in;
- anti-forgery and security cookies that protect forms and signed-in actions;
- vodeq_consent, which remembers Necessary / Analytics / Advertising;
- session storage key vodeq.cart, which holds cart contents on this device until you complete checkout or clear the session;
- load balancing or HTTPS session cookies set by our hosting or content-delivery infrastructure when needed to serve the site securely;
- cookies Stripe sets when you enter checkout, which are required to complete payment, tax, and fraud checks. Stripe is the merchant of record for website charges. See Stripe’s cookie documentation for names and durations Stripe controls.
Necessary technologies are used on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a secure store and, where a cookie-consent law requires it, as strictly necessary to provide the service you requested.
Analytics
Optional. In the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Brazil this stays off until you allow it. Elsewhere it can run unless you opt out.
If allowed, Google Tag Manager loads analytics tools we configure (such as Google Analytics 4 or Amplitude) so we can see how people use the shop: pages viewed, events such as add to cart, and whether a visit led to a purchase. Those tools may set their own cookies or use local storage. We also keep a short first-party activity record on our own servers so we can help if you contact support. That first-party record is deleted after 90 days.
Analytics is used on the basis of consent where consent is required, and otherwise on legitimate interests in understanding and improving the store, until you opt out.
Advertising
Optional. In the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Brazil this stays off until you allow it. Elsewhere it can run unless you opt out, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, which turns advertising off.
If allowed, Google Tag Manager may load advertising tools (such as Google Ads) to measure whether an ad led to a purchase and to show more relevant ads on other sites and apps. In California this can count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.
Advertising is used on the basis of consent where consent is required. Elsewhere you may still opt out through Privacy choices or GPC.
Campaign links
If you arrive from an ad or email link, we may store campaign parameters on this device in session storage under vodeq_attrib (for example utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, gclid, wbraid, gbraid) so we know which campaign led to a later purchase. That storage lasts for the browser session. We do not send those values to advertising or analytics vendors unless you allow Analytics or Advertising.
Google consent mode
Before you choose, Google tags default to denied storage for analytics and ads. If you allow Analytics, we grant analytics storage. If you allow Advertising, we grant ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization, unless GPC requires advertising to stay off. Purchase measurement is not sent to Google unless Analytics or Advertising is allowed, according to the event type.
Other processors that may set cookies
- Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads. Loaded according to your Analytics and Advertising choices. Google’s policies describe their cookies.
- Amplitude. May receive website or product events when Analytics is allowed or when desktop or plugin export is enabled on our servers. Amplitude may use its own identifiers once an event reaches them.
- Cloudflare. May set cookies for security or performance insights when that feature is active on the site.
- Embedded media. Product pages may embed YouTube (privacy-enhanced / youtube-nocookie) or Vimeo. Those players can set cookies when you play the video. Playing embedded media is optional.
How long we keep this
- Cookie choice (vodeq_consent): 180 days.
- Cart session storage: until the browser session ends or you clear site data.
- Campaign session storage: until the browser session ends.
- First-party website activity we store ourselves: 90 days.
- Sign-in cookies: for the life of the authenticated session, including “remember me” if you choose it.
- Vendor cookies (Stripe, Google, Amplitude, Cloudflare, video hosts): durations set by those vendors.
Your controls
Use to allow or reject Analytics and Advertising. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking Necessary cookies will prevent sign-in, cart, or checkout from working correctly.
Industry opt-outs such as YourAdChoices or Google Ads settings may further limit advertising cookies those companies set. They do not replace the Vodeq control for our tags.
For access, deletion, and other privacy rights, see the Privacy Policy.
